How to do such a manicure

If you are just learning the basics of manicure and have no idea how to make a gradient on your nails, the following information will be useful to you. There is nothing difficult in technology. You can create a beautiful nail design yourself. To get started, you will need to stock up on all the necessary equipment.

There are several ways to apply varnish. You can use any of them:

Sponge

With the help of a sponge, you can bring a creative design using the Ombre technique to reality. You need to take a few colors that suit or like you the most. Now it is worth varnishing part of the surface of the sponge desired shades. Apply slowly stripes of color that will be in contact with each other.

remember, that The sponge must be well washed and dried. The one with which you wash the dishes will do. It will need to be cut into small pieces first. Remember to protect your cuticles too. To do this, it should be closed with tape or smeared with PVA glue. At the end of the procedure, you can easily remove this layer and the varnish will not remain on the skin of your fingers.

Consider the various technologies for high-quality coating with a sponge:

  1. First, put a base on the nail plate which will dry under a UV lamp.
  2. Take the foil and make a few drops of gel polish on it close to each other. Now it’s worth mixing the substance together, creating a medium shade with a toothpick.
  3. Take a sponge and apply it to the varnish. Let her drink it. If you want to avoid unwanted bubbles on the surface of the nail, you should make the first couple of prints on the foil.
  4. Using gentle springy movements, transfer the gel polish to the nail. Do as many layers as needed to achieve the desired color saturation.
  5. It is worth noting that each such coating must be dried well under a lamp.. After the color suits you, apply the top and dry well in the lamp.

There is another option for applying gel polish with a sponge:

  1. Base should be applied first and dry it well under the lamp.
  2. Now take your two favorite shades and apply them directly on the nail plate end-to-end in a thick layer.
  3. Next, take a sponge and quickly blot the nail. This should be done easily, but with a little pressure. As the tone evens out, reduce the pressure. This way you can get rid of the bubbles.
  4. Do not immediately rush to dry the nail. Wait a little while the product takes the form of the nail surface. Take care of the rest of your fingers. If random bubbles appear, they should be eliminated with a toothpick.
  5. Then apply the second layer in a similar way.. Their number will depend on desired effect as well as the materials used.
  6. After that, it is worth covering the surface with a top and fix under the lamp.

If you didn’t manage to create a smooth transition the first time, don’t be discouraged. Just lightly dust the color mixing area with clear glitter. This design will be even more interesting and creative.

Brush

You can also create a gradient with a brush. There are also several ways to help make a creative manicure. To do this, take a flat synthetic brush with a straight or semicircular end. Or is it better to use the one with which you apply the base. The main technology is as follows:

  1. It is worth choosing several shades of gel polish and cover half of the nail with each of them. Layers should be made thin so that it is easy to shade them.
  2. Now take a flat brush, soak it in the clinser, let it become wet. Now, with the help of light movements, swipe it from the cuticle to the tip of the nail. You need to hold the brush almost parallel to the nail surface. This is done so that it does not spoil the gradient, but smoothes it evenly. When you see that the transition area has become soft, you can send your hands to dry under the lamp.
  3. Now, using the same technology, it is worth applying a second layer and a third. Then the color itself will be saturated. Fix everything with a top coat and dry the surface.

You can create a style ombre» and using a fan brush. Of course, the transition will not be as smooth, but this will be the highlight of this design. You can quickly create the manicure you need at home. It's easy to do this:

  1. First you need to apply a base on the nail surface. Take the most light shade, which you will use in the gradient. Apply varnish in one or more layers. Now let everything dry under the lamp.
  2. The next step is to take the foil. Mix on it suitable shades, To obtain medium color. You will apply it to the middle of the nail. This will be the transition area.
  3. A little lower almost at the very tip, apply the darkest shade. Now take a slightly damp brush and move it from side to side, lightly touching the surface of the nail. Do this until you get the desired effect.
  4. Now all this will need to be dried in a lamp..
  5. Then add a second layer and repeat the above procedure. Remember that the main shade is best applied to the upper area of the nail so that it does not overlap the gradient. Dry everything under the lamp.

For adherents of the classics, you can create an unusual jacket using a gradient. It is created similarly to the technologies described above. In this case, it is worth taking the classic shades as the basis. Experienced Master easily make your hands beautiful and attractive. Yes, and at home, you can independently make yourself a similar coating.

Design

It is worth noting that with the help of a gradient, you can create the most diverse design. We have already analyzed the horizontal and vertical options, which can be done with a wide brush or comb, as well as with a sponge.

It should be noted that no matter which method you choose, you need to carefully prepare the nails for this procedure. To do this, first of all, it is worth giving the nails desired shape and length. This is done using soft nail file. The next step will be the correction of the cuticle. This is done without steaming in water.

To do this, you first need to soften the cuticle special means pushing it back a little. Now take a buff and remove the shine from the nail surface. In conclusion, it is worth degreasing all marigolds, including the cut and cuticle. And only after the pens are prepared, you can begin the procedure itself: apply the base, gel polish, top, dry in a lamp.

  • Another common way to create a gradient is geometric.. It looks quite stylish and original, it will bring a fresh touch to your image. The design itself is done with a thin brush. To create it, you will need two shades. For example, you can take colored and white gel polish. It will be necessary to consistently dilute the colored shellac, creating lighter options. With the help of them you will draw geometric shapes.

Go from the lightest shade to the darkest. In this case, only a thin layer should be applied so that the gel polish does not spread. It is not necessary to dry each layer. Only after completing the whole process, the nails can be sent to dry under the lamp. One of the sought-after geometric gradients of this season is the rhombus. It looks fashionable, stylish and attractive.

In order for this design option to turn out clear and neat, you should use special stencils. However, it should be remembered that the structure of the gel polish is such that it can flow under the stencil. Be extremely careful and cautious. Once you get used to it, you will do it quickly and accurately.

  • Another fashionable option air gradient. It is done with an airbrush. The advantages of this method include efficiency, accuracy, accuracy and speed. With this tool, you can create fashion design for a short period of time. One nail will take about two minutes.

To do this, pour the paint into the machine, turn on the compressor and spray the product onto the surface. nail plate. As a rule, the paint is created on water based or on alcohol. Then, after application, the skin can be cleansed with a special liquid. It is noteworthy that the paint itself is sprayed in a thin layer. Thus, its consumption will be minimal. You'll get beautiful manicure even at home.

Certainly, the gradient is best done with gel polish. This surface will last much longer, you will be able to do your household chores without fear that the varnish will crack or lose original view. The saturation of the color coating is also an advantage of each bottle of the product. Shiny nails will be the key to your success and good mood.

You may have seen volumetric patterns on the nails, created as if from velor fabric, this effect is given by velvet sand for nails. Today, this technology is at the peak of its popularity, so we can't help but introduce you to it. We will tell you how to make a nail design velvet sand with our own hands, show beautiful photos such a manicure and an informative video tutorial.

About the technology of manicure with velvet sand

Velvet sand for nails is an acrylic powder of different shades, crushed to nanopowder. It can be applied on top of not dried gel polish or gel paint, as a result, a marigold effect is obtained on the nails. From above, the nails are not covered with a top to preserve the rough texture. In nail art, this material has gained great popularity, since the technology for creating a manicure with velvet sand is incredibly simple, and the rough surface imitating velor fabric looks original and non-trivial.

The cost of the material is cheap, its price varies within 60 rubles per jar of 7 g. You can buy velvet sand in specialized stores for nail art. A wide color palette allows the master to perform the most intricate design in any range. In addition, this material is transparent. It allows you to achieve a “sugar” effect and create a texture on the surface of the nail without affecting the color composition.

Ekaterina Miroshnichenko became the author of the manicure technology with acrylic powder, by the way, the famous ones are the fruit of the imagination of the same nail master. Ekaterina is the chief technologist of her own company E.MI, specializing in the production of manicure products. Initially, the technology involved applying acrylic powder on E.MI gel paint, but skilled craftsmen came up with worthy alternative and apply sand on top of the gel polish, getting a similar result.

How to perform a manicure with velvet sand

Velvet sand on the nails, although it creates volume on top of the nail plate, it is comfortable to “wear” such a manicure. Outwardly, it seems that a manicure with velvet sand is short-lived and fragile, but subject to the technology, such nail art will please you for at least a week. We'll show you how to make it yourself.

Materials and tools for velvet manicure

To make the velvet sand on the nails look decent and the result is lasting, you need to combine it with gel polishes and gel paint. Ordinary varnishes are not suitable for this, since the powder will crumble very quickly from such a coating. Besides, three-dimensional drawing velvet sand on the nails is obtained due to the fact that the consistency of gel polish or gel paint is dense and thick, and regular varnish will not have such an effect.

So, for a manicure you will need:

  • Colored sand (acrylic powder) of the selected shade.
  • Gel polishes. For the execution of the simplest nail art, one color of gel polish will be enough, but if you want the pattern to stand out on the nail, take 2 contrasting shades.
  • Base for gel polish and top.
  • Ultraviolet lamp.
  • Gel paint. You can purchase E.MI gel paint, the use of which is provided for by the technology of Ekaterina Miroshnichenko, its price is about 450 rubles. Or you can look for a cheaper analogue, the cost of gel paint from other manufacturers is from 200 rubles.
  • Brushes. You will need a thin brush to draw the pattern and a fan brush to brush off excess acrylic powder from the nail.

Having prepared everything you need, you can start designing.

Step-by-step scheme for the execution of velvet manicure

Decide on the design: decide on which nails you will have a pattern, and which will remain only with a monochrome finish. Next step by step instructions help you make velvet sand pattern on nails:

  1. First of all, the nails are polished with a finely abrasive nail file.
  2. Then they are treated with a degreaser.
  3. The plates are covered with a base for gel polish and the hand goes into the lamp for a minute.
  4. Apply the selected shade of gel polish to the nails. In order for the coating to be dense and not translucent, it is necessary to apply it in 2 layers. Each layer polymerizes in the lamp for 2 minutes.
  5. The final layer is a top coat, then the hand is sent back to the lamp for 2 minutes.
  6. A drawing is made with a thin brush gel paint. You can make a pattern with gel polish, but it is more difficult for them to draw fine details. You can depict whatever you want: swirls or monograms, flowers and even simple dots.
  7. Powder is poured on a wet gel paint with a plentiful layer. It can be one color, or you can even create a gradient of shades that blend into each other.
  8. The hand goes into the lamp for 2 minutes.
  9. With a fan brush, you need to shake off excess powder. Manicure is ready!

As you can see, the process is very simple and the most difficult thing in it is the accurate drawing of the picture. The secret of an impeccable design is in following the rules for applying gel polish and selecting the shades of materials. Definitely worth a try!

Video: Creating a manicure with velvet sand

This year, the theme of gradient manicure has become very popular, as among masters nail service, and among ordinary lovers of manicure. Many masters teach various technologies and options for its implementation, come up with their own “fast gradient” methods, try to use all new materials and fluids to get the perfect smooth transition. So what is a gradient on nails, how does it differ from an ombre manicure? Let's try to figure it out!

What is a manicure gradient. Types of design and their differences.

We come across different names and types of this design on the pages of magazines and on the Internet - gradient, ombre, Dip Dye and even stripes manicure. What is this design?
Gradient manicure is a special technique for covering nails, in which one color smoothly transitions into another. Often such a manicure is called trendy manicure ombre. In part, this has become synonymous with the word gradient, but the ombre design on the nails involves a gradual lightening of the tips by several tones, while the color remains the same. color scheme. There is the term Dip Dye, it is also a synonym and has a similar meaning, but reflects the essence of the gradient as such more. Dip Dye means dyeing in a completely different bright color.

There are several types of gradient, among them are distinguished, gradient and. Of course, every year there are more and more variations of this fashionable coverage for nails, but the classics still remain in fashion. The gradient manicure technique is not complicated, but it will require a lot of patience and perseverance to perform.

Gradient with a transition: how to quickly create a trendy design.

Easiest to do gradient with transition. What colors are needed for this? We take 5 varnishes of the same color, but different in shades and cover each nail from the little finger to thumb in turn, the transition is obtained from one finger to another. If you do not have 5 shades of the same color, it is easy to create them yourself. To do this, we need a primary color, such as blue, and an additional one, such as white.

We cover the first nail with a blue tint, on the second nail in a separate container or simply on a plastic / glass palette, we mix it into a drop of blue varnish and do not a large number of white, thus obtaining a shade one tone lighter. We cover the second nail with the resulting color. Next, mix in some more white again, getting an even lighter blue tint, and cover next nail. Next, we just continue to mix varnishes according to this scheme until we reach the last nail. At the same time, we can also show originality and creativity, cover all 10 fingers in a gradient from blue to completely white, or cover 1 hand from blue to very light blue, and cover the second hand in the same way, or mirror.

Horizontal and vertical gradient: features of the technique.

What is horizontal gradient? IN this case a smooth transition of colors on the nail is created, starting from the cuticle area and moving towards the tips of the nails. The color scheme can be absolutely any, from similar shades - then the manicure will turn out to be more gentle and “smooth”, to completely different, contrasting colors. In this case, the manicure will turn out bright and extravagant.

In such a manicure, you can combine two, three or even more colors. It should be taken into account that the more colors are used, the sharper the transition of colors in the contrasting nail gradient will be and the smoother the gradient with close shades of varnishes will be.

vertical gradient performed on the nail also with a smooth transition from one shade to another. However, the technology differs in that the color changes from one side roller to another, vertically. You can also create different variations of such a nail cover. For example, a manicure looks very original, in which the little finger is painted entirely in one color, on the ring finger a gradient transition is made to another color, the middle finger is covered with the color that we switched to on the ring finger, and on index finger the transition is made again. So 3-4 or even 5 colors will be involved in the gradient, and the manicure will become even more original.

Another interesting feature of an ombre manicure is the use of. You also do a manicure with color transitions, but instead of just polish or gel polish, you use thermo shades, with the slightest change in temperature, the polishes will change shades and the gradient will sparkle with new colors!

How to make a gradient manicure at home.

Here it is very important to consider the materials that you want to use for manicure: varnish or gel polish. Depending on your choice, the coating technology will change.

Consider the materials needed for the gradient.

When using a quick-drying varnish, you will need:
- several shades of varnish (gel varnishes or),
- soft sponge or special for gradient manicure,
- a few toothpicks or,
- or cotton buds with,
- .

Many people ask themselves: what varnish for a gradient manicure is suitable?

We recommend using varnishes with a dense texture and good pigmentation - they are optimally suited for the design and require a minimum of coating layers. Next, you need to choose one of the gradient methods that is convenient for you:

Gradient is fast and easy. The two most popular ways to do it.

The first method is the application of several shades of varnish in strips directly on the sponge (sponge). Immediately after application, you need to transfer the varnish to the nail with light patting movements - due to them, the varnishes at the border will mix and give a soft transition. However, be careful! If you fiddle with the sponge for too long, the varnishes at the border of the transition can interfere with each other and give a dirty shade. To prevent this from happening, for this method it is better to use different shades one color. There is also a high chance that the polishes will start to dry out, as the polish layer on the sponge is very thin and will start to roll off the sponge and nail, leaving spots and gaps. In this case, it is better to make a thin first layer, dry it, and then add it to the sponge. new varnish and duplicate the layer again - so it will be bright, and the sponge will not create any inconvenience for you :)

In order to easily and quickly clean the skin of excess paint after performing the ombre effect on the nails, you can use a liquid tape (it is called). Also popularly this tool for water and French gradient manicure is called a pink ribbon or a pink little thing. It will allow you to remove excess from the fingers quickly and without the use of cleansing liquids, without overdrying the skin of the hands and fingers.

The second method of applying a gradient manicure with nail polish is to use any hard surface, plastic or glass. You can also mix varnishes and make transitions using a special silicone nail polish.

We apply the lightest shade used in the gradient to the nail and let it dry. Next, we moisten the sponge for varnish a little, so the varnish will not be absorbed into it too quickly and will allow us to do a manicure. On our glass surface, we need to apply the dark shade used for the gradient, and next to it is the same light shade that we applied to the nail. The shades should overlap a little. In order to make the border even smoother, we mix the varnishes at the junction with a toothpick or an orange stick, now we have our gradient in front of our eyes. This procedure must be done quickly enough so that the varnish does not have time to dry completely.

Next, we print our gradient onto the sponge with patting movements, slightly smearing it so that the borders of the colors mix a little and give a smooth transition, and apply polish from the sponge to the nail with the same movements. For each subsequent nail, you need to update the varnishes, however, with proper skill, you can have time to cover several nails at once.

Geometric gradient: design features and method of execution.

Gained huge popularity in the last season geometric gradient(graphic) on the nails. Geometric gradient design is done with a thin brush. For it, you will need 2 gel polishes: rich color and. Gradually diluting the colored shellac with white, we get an increasingly lighter shade and draw a geometric gradient step by step with a thin brush from the lightest shade, gradually moving to the darkest, applying a thin layer so that the gel polish does not spread. It is not necessary to dry each step. Only after finishing the whole drawing, we send the design to dry in the lamp. The most frequent and popular in 2016 was the geometric gradient of rhombuses (rhombuses, rhombuses).

How to make a geometric gradient on the nails with ordinary varnish, because it dries very quickly?

For this, it is better to use for nails. Also, stencils can be used in gel polish manicure. But gel polishes tend to flow under the stencil, so you need to get used to it. For varnish, this is great option, the varnish dries quickly in the air and does not spread, its excess can be easily removed cotton swab dipped in nail polish remover. In addition, manufacturers now offer a large number of stencils and slider designs with a variety of geometric patterns that are suitable for creating an incredible geometric manicure.

Beautiful manicure gradient:

Ombre design with gel polish and gel paint: subtleties of application and execution techniques.

The technology for applying a gradient manicure with gel polish or is significantly different. For such a manicure, we must spend full training nails to the coating, apply and remove from it sticky layer. It is desirable that the base coat be carried out with alignment, especially when using gel paint. Otherwise, all the irregularities will be very visible on the surface of the nail, and the gel paint will only highlight them even more, since this is a very thin coating.

For the first method, we need 2 shades of gel polish and. The simplest and most common method of obtaining horizontal gradient with a thin brush. It is necessary to apply 1 layer of colored gel polish on the entire nail and dry it in a lamp. Next, apply the second layer and, without drying it, apply a small drop of the second layer to the area near the cuticle. Be careful not to fill the cuticle with gel polish! Since gel polishes are thinner than gel paints, they flow more easily, so gel polish should be applied with a medium drop and a little indented from the cuticle. We previously painted over the area near the cuticle with a brush in 1 layer so that there were no gaps in it.

Next, we distribute our drop with a thin brush, gradually “lubricating” it down to the end of the nail, but not reaching it. Depending on how well you shade your second shade, the smoothness of the gradient transition will also depend. There are also special brushes for gradients, they are wider and make the process of creating a gradient much more pleasant, speeding it up many times.

The second method is similar to the method of applying a varnish gradient - with a sponge. However, it is better for gel paints, as they do not spread and have good pigmentation. We also apply a gradient with a sponge on the nail, without drying, remove the excess from the side rollers and the cuticle zone, and send the design to dry in the lamp. If necessary, repeat the procedure 1-2 times and cover finished manicure top coat for gel polish.

For vertical gradient technology, you can use a brush from the shellac bottle itself. It is better to use a brush of a darker shade, but it is always necessary to have a dry cloth on hand and often wipe the brush with it, so as not to bring another color into the gel polish bottle. You can also use a flat brush, square or oval. Usually they are used for gel, but they are very convenient in creating a gradient. In this technology, a light shade of gel polish or gel paint is applied to the half of the nail. Further, on the second half, a little with a spade on the light part is applied dark color paints. After that, we wipe the brush and with a dry brush we pass along the border of the flowers. This is our first base layer, send it to the lamp for 2 minutes. After that, we take a half dark with a brush, and the other half light paint at the same time, as if forming a gradient immediately on the brush. We apply the second layer with a brush with gel paints with a brush strictly in the center of our nail, so that the middle of the gradient on the brush approximately coincides with the middle of the gradient on the nail. This way we form a soft vertical gradient.

"Air" gradient: features of using an airbrush to create a manicure.

Now, the execution of the gradient, especially the horizontal one, with an airbrush is gaining popularity. An airbrush is a special device that sprays a thin layer of paint using air pressure. We'll take a look at the pros and cons of the gradient brush and airbrush.

The horizontal gradient with a brush on the nails is quite difficult to perform, its accurate execution is painstaking and long work. Many craftsmen use an airbrush to simplify and speed up work, thanks to the device, it takes about two minutes to create a gradient for 1 nail, while with a brush we spend about fifteen minutes shading gel polish or paint. The essence of the method is that we pour the paint into the airbrush, turn on the compressor and simply spray the paint on the nail. In this case, the paint, as a rule, is water-based or alcohol-based. In order to clean the client's handles and side bolsters, there is no need to use special liquids, it is enough to cover the design with a top and send the client to wash their hands with soap and water. This not only saves liquids for the master, but also does not harm the skin of the client's hands and eliminates allergies to liquids. The paint is sprayed thinnest layer so paint consumption is minimal. The layer on the nail is thin and doesn't create the "patty nails" that you can get from layering when doing a regular gradient.

What to choose, gradient manicure with shellac or varnish?

If you actively use gel polishes, then we advise you to use gel polishes and paints, because the gradient effect in this case will remain on your nails for several weeks and will delight you every day. The lacquer gradient is quite easy to make and faster, but it will last the same as regular nail polish for 3-6 days.

Hi all!

In this review I want to show you a set of colored acrylics, consisting of 12 colors.

Unfortunately, a couple of jars opened and fell apart during transportation (I think so).

There is no yellow left

Package size - 20cm x 15cm x 4cm

The jars are very tiny, but for me home use they are enough. And the price is budget compared to the prices in our stores.

Here are the first workouts on tips:

How to make a manicure with velvet sand technique?

First, the nails are prepared for gel polish. Then the base is applied and dried in a lamp. After that, it is applied required amount layers of colored gel polish and each layer is dried in a lamp. After that, the top is applied, dried and the sticky layer is removed.

Now the most interesting. It is necessary to draw a pattern with white gel polish or gel paint and pour acrylic powder on the pattern without drying. Then dry in a lamp and shake off excess dust with a brush.

If you look at the first option with colored stripes, then each strip must be drawn separately, sprinkled with sand and dried in a lamp.

Video with the process:

And in this video I talk about the technology and what is better to choose for a pattern: gel paint or gel polish.

Over time, this design can get dirty, so it must be washed with a brush.

The second option is Acrylic Powder Gradient.

For this design, we used: white gel polish, 2 jars of acrylic powder, brush, gel polish top, UV lamp.

How to dogradient manicure acrylic powder?

First, the nails are prepared for gel polish. Then the base is applied and dried in a lamp. After that, the required number of layers is applied. white gel polish and each layer is dried in a lamp. Next, acrylic powder is applied to the sticky layer with a brush with light movements. To smooth the transition, I took two green jars. And lighter made the transition from white to light green.

Video process:

About quality:

I have white acrylic powder from the USA and this set. Therefore, I can only compare so far.

Powder that is from the USA, that from China is visually no different for me. She is the same

fine as dust. The design looks exactly the same. The only difference is in the size of the jars.

The colors in the set are bright, beautiful, but slightly different from the photo of the seller.

In principle, I am satisfied, but everyone complains that some jars are crumbling ((I have crumbled the right yellow so it's a little embarrassing...

Using acrylic powder, you can sculpt on gel polish, but so far I have not even tried this technique. I think it's quite difficult.

In general, I was satisfied with the set.

Thank you for your feedback!
