Crochet snowflakes patterns with description. How to crochet a beautiful snowflake? Crochet snowflakes: pattern, diagrams with descriptions for beginners

Soon we will be putting up Christmas trees and decorating them with various toys and garlands. One of the decoration elements can be a snowflake. And snowflakes are made from different materials: felt, paper, fabric and so on. But more often they are knitted. In this master class we will crochet a snowflake. The snowflake knits very quickly and consists of only three rows. Anyone can knit such a snowflake.

To crochet snowflakes we will need:

  1. Yarn;
  2. Hook;
  3. Starch or PVA glue.

The text of the master class contains the following abbreviations:

  • SS – Connecting posts;
  • RLS – Single crochet;
  • SSN - Double crochets;

In order to crochet a beautiful and neat snowflake, you need to choose a yarn that is not too thick. The color of a snowflake can be not only white or blue, but also any other. After all, this snowflake is fantasy.

First we make two VPs. And now in the second of them we will knit twelve sc.

Next we knit three VPs and one DC in the next loop. Then we make five VPs. Let's skip one loop at the base and then knit two dcs into one loop. And we will knit like this until the end of the row.

We knit a new row. And we do eleven VPs at the very beginning.

We count seven stitches and knit a SS at the eighth.

Now we will knit ten VPs and count seven loops, and in the eighth we will perform a SS.

We knit further nine VP. Now we will make the SS into the previous SS.

Let's perform seven VP and SS in the previous SS, that is, in the same place. In the next two loops we knit one SS each. And we perform seven VPs again. We knit a SS into the next SS at the base where we knitted the very first SS in the air chain. We knit to the base of the SS.

We knit four sc in the arch. And we make five VPs. Here again we knit five sc in the arch.

And then we will repeat the ray of a snowflake. We knit to the end of the row, repeating the knitting elements.

We finish knitting SS. And now we need to break and hide the thread inside the knitting. This can be done either with a crochet hook or a needle. We cut off the excess.

So that the snowflake does not wrinkle and keeps its shape well, you need to starch it. This can be done either with starch or with PVA glue. To do this, PVA glue must be diluted with water in a ratio of 1:2. Place the snowflake on a straight surface and let it dry thoroughly. If necessary, the procedure can be repeated again.

Crochet snowflake is ready! To decorate a Christmas tree with it, you just need to add a loop to one of its rays.

Crochet snowflake pattern:

Legend:

We make a ring of thread and knit 1 air lifting loop,

1st row: knit 8 single crochets into a ring,

tighten the ring of thread and knit a connecting stitch, inserting the hook into the first single crochet of this row.

2nd row: we knit 3 air loops + 2 air loops according to the pattern pattern (i.e. we knit 5 air loops),

In the next loop we knit a double crochet,

*in the next loop 1 double crochet,

again 2 air loops*

from * we continue knitting until the end of the row.

We close the series connecting post, insert the hook into the 3rd lifting air loop.

3rd row: in order to move on to knitting from an arch, we will knit 1 connecting column,

then 2 lifting air loops,

knit 3 double crochets with a common top,

*in the next arch we knit 4 double crochets with a common top,

again 5 chain stitches*,

We continue to knit from * to the end of the row.

We close the row with a connecting column, inserting a hook into the common top of the columns.

4th row: knit 1 chain stitch and 1 single crochet in the same base loop,

we knit a picot from 3 air loops,

and a single crochet in the same base loop,

we knit a picot from 3 chain stitches

and single crochet, inserting the hook into the same loop,

*at the common top of the next group of stitches we similarly knit 1 single crochet, a picot of 3 chain loops, 1 single crochet, a picot of 5 chain loops, 1 single crochet, a picot of 3 chain loops, 1 single crochet,

From * we continue knitting until the end of the row.

We close the row with a connecting stitch in the first single crochet of this row.

SNOWFLAKES CROCHET - as a decoration for the New Year's table.

Here's an idea New Year's candlesticks crochet I found it... and immediately wanted to knit such a snowflake for this upcoming New Year.

But there really is nothing complicated. You must first knit a ring of chain stitches... then tie it with double crochets (5-6 circular rows– so that the candlestick tablet fits on the round table). And in last row you need to make so many columns so that their TOTAL NUMBER is divided by the COLUMN SIZE of the snowflake petal (by the number of columns in the repeating pattern). That is, if we have chosen a pattern for the petal of a snowflake whose repetition begins with every 10 loops, then the total number of columns of the last PATTERN must be a multiple of ten (for example, 60 - to create 6 petals or 70 - to create 7 petals). Thanks to this, we can safely start our pattern - and we will be sure that all the petals will fit in a circle without cramping or extra holes.

The snowflake candlestick in the photo above has 8 petals.... and the pattern of each petal is placed on 5 columns of the bottom row... This means that in the circular DOZOR ROW we will have to bring the total number of columns in the circle to 40 (because 8 times 5 is 40) - and only after that can we safely begin the pattern.

Also in decoration festive table crocheted snowflakes can serve as napkins-cup holders or coasters for glass stems.

You can also decorate a napkin ring with a knitted snowflake. The ring itself can be cut from a strip of fabric (or regular tape).

You can crochet a lot of snowflakes according to any convenient and quick scheme– and connect all the snowflakes together with rays (just sewing threads). You will get a beautiful whole New Year's napkin for the table.
Or you can make it for table decoration elegant hearts with lace ruffles, bows and snowflake appliqués made with crochet.

And here are two more beautiful ideas for a beautiful New Year's lamp. The first idea (this is a bag of white paper in which an LED garland is hidden) We cover such a paper cone with knitted snowflake napkins... plug the garland into a power outlet and look at the beautiful glowing lace.

And the second candlestick is made simply from a tall glass, lace, and crocheted snowflakes. By the way, to light a candle inside such a deep glass convenient to use SPAGHETTI MACARONI. They burn well - we light a long piece of spaghetti and lower such a “splinter” into a glass towards the candle wick.

KNITTED SNOWFLAKES NAPKINS

– as decor for a gift.

If you have prepared small gifts for your friends in the form of New Year's cookies or sweets, then it would be good to put them in jars like these, decorated with a knitted snowflake napkin. The bank itself will a good gift for storing dear and useful little things in it.

This snowflake is simply crocheted to the wall of the jar with a glue gun.

Also as New Year's gifts jars of homemade jam can be used family recipes great-grandmothers... or delicious pickles from a hospitable mother-in-law. H to make the jars look like New Year's presents their lids can be decorated with this elegant napkin with a knitted snowflake in the center.

Crochet SNOWFLAKES

for decorating the New Year tree.

You can also beautifully decorate the Christmas tree itself with snowflakes. You can crochet many identical snowflakes - in the same style using the same pattern. The colors red and white look beautiful - bright and festive.

And in general, the New Year in red style is beautiful. On our website there is a separate article dedicated to just this. color choice in holiday decor

You can show your imagination and make crocheted snowflake crafts with an original idea. This is how it is here - not just a crocheted snowflake, but like a costume for a small crocheted doll. Or like snowflakes tying round pieces of postcard.

You can also crochet a snowflake connect to felt base- and we get a Christmas tree toy with a clear round outline and a bright background like a white snowflake.

Can fit a snowflake into a metal ring and decorate the Christmas tree (or turn it into jewelry). Metal rings can be purchased in the sewing department of the store (the same place where buckles, pins and buttons are sold).

DIY NEW YEAR CARDS DECOR

knitted snowflakes.

Often we don't just want to say warm congratulations out loud... but we want ours holiday wishes remained as text on a postcard. Then the creative work of our caring hands will help add warmth to our words. Why fill out stamped, soulless postcards from a store? with heartfelt words– it’s better to make a card with your own hands and decorate it with a knitted snowflake. Any pattern, thin threads and a small hook will help us create a miniature openwork snowflake - which will look gentle on the surface of a New Year's card.

You can have a snowflake just stick it on(with adhesive pencil) ... Or you can use a snowflake in Place it in a through-hole frame cut out in the postcard. You can make holes along the edges of such a “window” and not glue the snowflake in, but tie it to the postcard using these holes.

Or you can simply hang a snowflake on a card on a string.

Christmas tree decoration with snowflakes

or tree branches

The New Year holiday is, first of all, a TREE. And the Christmas tree can also be decorated with knitted snowflakes. If you have a small table Christmas tree- That two skeins of thread are enough for tying it with snowflakes.

Or if instead of a Christmas tree you only have a small composition of spruce branches hanging on the door or wall. This is also made from spruce legs, golden ribbon and crocheted snowflakes.

Snowflakes can also decorate a flat fake Christmas tree on the wall. How to make such a Christmas tree from a garland is quite clear. We simply glue double-sided tape to the wall (silhouette in the shape of a Christmas tree) and glue our fluffy garland to the sticky silhouette. We get tree outline on the wall– and now you can hang snowflakes by strings, crocheted. If the wall is wooden and you don’t mind it, then you can stuff small nails and attach a garland and snowflakes to them.

Or, if you don’t mind the time and threads, you can crochet a chain of small snowflakes for a whole garland for the New Year tree.

You can crochet snowflakes small compositions without spruce legs - only with branches. Crystal pendants (icicles similar to pieces of ice) and silver birds will complement the decor.

Knitted snowflakes hang from the rungs of a stepladder... or fasten them to a ceiling beam (so that they hang beautifully over the New Year's table).

Garland of crocheted snowflakes.

Snowflakes can be knitted from colored threads and hung on a string above the fireplace... or along the doorway... or along the top cabinet in the kitchen (convenient if the cabinet doors slide up).

White snowflakes of the same design (that is, crocheted according to the same pattern) look good. This garland can be simply attached to the wall.

Can you knit snowflakes? different designs- according to schemes with different patterns and different sizes. It also turns out to be a magical decoration for the New Year's holiday. Especially if the color of the snowflakes matches the overall style color design interior

Or you can hang snowflakes with a hook on the curtain rod - each on its own string (as in the photo below).

Knitted snowflakes can also decorate a simple Christmas wreath.

SNOWFLAKES for decoration

decorative pendants.

Crocheted openwork beauties can be decorated into a one-piece pendant design. Here are two models of such a snowflake.
MODEL #1 – We knit snowflakes in three sizes – large, medium and small. And we string them on a thread - first a large one, then several crystal beads... a medium one... more beads and a small one.

MODEL No. 2 – take a metal ring (you can bend it from wire) and tie it with hooks using simple single crochet stitches (try this - it’s easy - hook the thread under the edge of the ring and crochet a stitch as usual). The number of columns on the ring must be adjusted to such a number - so that it is a multiple of the rapport (the size of the repeating pattern - the size of a snowflake petal).

Or you can come up with a pattern for a snowflake pendant on the fly... and then it is only important that the total number of columns be divided by six.

And then we crochet another snowflake - the size is such that it fits inside the ring.

You can also already finished snowflake fit into the ring– pull its rays to the ring and secure with threads. These crocheted rings with snowflakes can be hung on the window. Or in doorway, or on the wall. On beautiful ribbons.

You can also attach knitted snowflakes to a hair hoop - and we will get a beautiful kokoshnik crown for the Snow Maiden for a matinee in kindergarten.

The hoop must first be wrapped with a white ribbon... and as you wrap it, the ribbon must be secured with a thread and a needle (so that the layers of the ribbon do not slip off) - and then hard starched (or candied) knitted snowflakes must be sewn to this ribbon.

Or the hoop itself can be tied with single crochets(tie simply by crocheting under the hoop) - and then on the comb of these columns start knitting the RAYS of one large snowflake at once. As in the photo with a blue kokoshnik - which consists of 5 rays of a large snowflake pattern. You can find a diagram for tying such a kokoshnik of the Snow Maiden take snowflakes from any diagram... And simply increase its rays ... come up with a continuation of the pattern - any combination of columns and arches from chains of air loops.

PATTERNS FOR CROCHING SNOWFLAKES.

Well, now let's move on to the diagrams. Each snowflake takes on its own pattern of just THREE ELEMENTS... chain stitch... single crochet... single crochet (or double crochet).
If you know how to knit these THREE ELEMENTS, then you can knit ANY PATTERN - for ANY SNOWFLAKE - according to ANY PATTERN.

All these different snowflakes(from photo above) knitted too using THREE ELEMENTS of knitting.
Look at the diagrams below - here only double crochets... only single crochets... and only double crochets.
But the pattern turns out different - because the alternation of these elements is new every time.

Like alternating notes in music. There are only 7 notes – and the music is new every time.

Therefore, snowflakes are CONVENIENT TO COMPOSE... just knit in the round... and come up with a pattern as you go. All you need is to decide in advance how many rays the snowflake will have - and bring the BASIC CIRCLE to such a number of columns in the circle - that it is a MULTIPLE of the number of rays (that is, divided by the number of rays without a remainder)….
For example six-ray snowflakes– the number of loops in the base circle (round middle) should be 18... or 24... or 30... or 36... or 42... or 48... and so on. That is, the number of columns in the circle should be divisible by 6.

HOW TO DRY snowflakes.

(and how to make them hard - 3 ways)

And further main secret– after knitting snowflakes they need to be shaped. So that they are hard and callous. There are three ways to HARDEN snowflakes - three solutions.

First way. Starch and dry flat. D We eat a solution of 3 tablespoons of starch in 1 tablespoon of cold water.

Moisten the snowflake with starch solution and flattened on a sheet of cardboard- and so that the snowflake stretches well, stuck pins- so that the snowflake stretches and does not shrink back - but dries in this straightened form. Then it will retain its solid form, hardened by starch.

Second way. Sugar a snowflake. Make sugar syrup - 1 glass of water for 16 tablespoons of sugar - put everything on the fire so that the sugar dissolves. Dip the snowflake into the syrup. We take it out, place it on a sheet of cardboard covered with polyethylene - flatten the snowflake, secure it with pins.

Third way. Soak in gelatin. We buy a bag of edible gelatin. And prepare the solution according to the instructions on the bag (soak, then heat until the gelatin dissolves - and immerse the snowflake in the gelatin syrup... or apply the syrup to the snowflake with a brush.

HOW TO CROCHET A SNOWFLAKE.

Schemes and master class in a simple pattern.

KNITTING A SNOWFLAKE starts FROM THE MIDDLE... from the center... and gradually row by row - circle by circle the snowflake is overgrown with lace petals.

What does this process look like? very clearly visible from the master class below... Here you can see how a snowflake is crocheted according to the pattern. By the way, these are probably the fastest snowflakes to knit - and they keep their shape well even without starching- due to the fact that they have very clear contour with MULTI-ROW piping.

IF YOU already have experience in knitting napkins or lace, then you can understand the snowflake knitting pattern without patterns - JUST BY THE PHOTO.
After all, even in relatively small photos, all the air loops, single crochets and double crochets are clearly visible. Just print the snowflake on the printer (you can enlarge the photo beforehand) and knit from such a photo sample.

Well, if you are a beginner crochet lace craftswoman, then here are some snowflake patterns that are quite easy to implement.

DIAGRAMS OF SMALL SNOWFLAKES.

Snowflake with cones. The bump is created easily (many yarn overs are made - but all yarn overs are knitted into one loop at once).

And here are a few more diagrams... I found their pictures in such a deplorable blurred and pale form - that I decided to draw their diagrams again in good quality.

Scheme for openwork snowflakes.

But he's beautiful openwork crochet snowflake. Beautiful holes and neat little piping around the edge create the effect of a lace pattern. Despite the complex patterned crochet, crocheting such a snowflake is quite simple. The diagram is attached - all the same familiar CHAIRS... single crochet... double crochet... and that's it. Nothing new - just alternations and quantity.

For beginner knitters it will be difficult to figure out how to knit second row in the diagram above. There are long rays-arches along the edges of which loops of air are scattered. Therefore, below I give a picture with step by step description knitting this complex second row with rays.

The red dots are the loop that we “mentally remembered” (see diagram below).

These are such beautiful ideas... if I can find more beautiful diagram... or a diagram that will inspire me so much that I won’t be lazy to draw it manually - I’ll post it in this article below.

In the meantime, these are all the treasures in my piggy bank for today.
Use it with pleasure.
Wishing you happiness and good luck in the New Year.
