DIY Christmas (and not only) trees: master classes

Almost all Christmas trees presented today are made using different materials. Some are very unusual, artsy, rich. I would even say elite. And others, on the contrary, are as simple and minimalistic as possible in their design. A la Ikea, so to speak.

DIY paper Christmas tree

The largest group today. You will see many representatives of the beautiful spruce species. Each one is different from the others, so choose

Origami

The simplest version of a paper Christmas tree is using a square. Fold the square in half (diagonally), bend the opposite sides to the center (like in an airplane) and that’s it.

Tip: Use this simple trick to decorate a greeting card or fold napkins beautifully.

Angular

First of all, fold a square of paper as shown in the photo. Then:

  1. Fold the structure so that the side corners are inside. This will result in a square four times smaller than the original one.
  2. Bend the right corner to the center,
  3. And left.
  4. Fold the right corner to the right.
  5. Fold this corner under yourself.
  6. Do the same with the second one.

Now turn the structure over and repeat steps 2-6 only for this side. All that remains is to trim the sharp lower tip and make a few cuts on both sides. Then bend each cut end and place the Christmas tree on the table)

Circles

To create this spruce, take paper and draw a circle on it, outlining it as necessary, as in number 1. Next, cut out the circle and cut each section to a small circle. Now wrap each of these small sections on both sides with the tips inward and glue them together. Process the entire circle in this manner.

For spruce you will need several rows. In the photo, for example, you see a beauty made of 15 layers with a cone top. The layers, by the way, are assembled onto wire by piercing the centers of the parts.

Panel for kindergarten

IN kindergarten Have you been given the task of making a spruce tree together with your child? Then this option is the simplest. Take thick cardboard and colored paper. Cut out triangles from cardboard, cut the paper into strips and overlap them. Even a child can handle this. Cut off the excess. You can glue a skewer at the bottom and stick it into the padding polyester.

Tip: the resulting product can be used as a bookmark.

Making crafts using available materials

To create this semblance of a fluffy-coniferous creature, you will need a long metal pin on a stand and lots and lots of scrap paper. Feel free to use newspapers, old magazines, etc.

Tip: Additional decoration of the Christmas tree can be done using paint in a can, which can be sprayed on the leaves. This will make them stronger and more durable.

Big tree of knowledge

The next beauty will be the spruce tree that brings knowledge. For it you just need to stack all the available books in a pyramid. I highly do not recommend hanging an electric garland, as in the photo: fires in New Year happen very often, do not neglect it. It’s better to put regular tinsel and balls on the ledges.

From tubes

Incredible simple technology. Suitable for decorating cards and walls. Prepare several tubes rolled from paper rectangles. Glue each one in the intended place. The tubes can be made gradually smaller or with a “brush” (sometimes placing longer elements higher than necessary).

Glue button or sequin decorations on top.

Fluffy

For this you will need a lot of paper strips, which will need to be glued in layers to a paper cone. And put on a cute cone hat on top. An excellent craft that can be done with children too.

For those who are passionate about quilling

Do you like to twirl paper spirals? Then prepare several strips of paper of the same thickness. Roll 17 pieces into a spiral and narrow one end of each. For the trunk, simply roll 4 tubes and place on a skewer. Glue all parts according to the photo. The tips of the “branches” can be decorated with cylinders of a different color, similar to Christmas decorations.

Vytynanka

I remember my sister once mentioned that she liked the so-called vytynanki - one of the types of Slavic folk art in which paper is cut out amazing beauty things. They are often glued to glass to enhance the festive atmosphere.

And they are made like this: the desired pattern is drawn on paper in advance. IN in this case- spruce, folded in half. And then, using a well-sharpened stationery knife, all unnecessary parts are cut out. For the spruce you will need two parts folded in half, which can later be sewn in the center on sewing machine or manually.

From corrugated paper

Continuing paper theme, I want to show you three simple Christmas trees. First, with blue roses, which are made from tissue paper (like corrugated paper, but much thinner). Each rose is created using a strip that is tightly curled at the center and slightly looser towards the end. Thanks to the properties of paper, roses easily straighten and become lush.

The base is again a cone.

The next spruce tree is very similar to the previous one, but here the strips used to create the flowers are cut along the edge, making them very fluffy. They are again rolled into a flower, but they do not try to give the appearance of a rose, but simply soak them as much as possible.

From cupcake tins

Well, that's an interesting idea. I have just a bunch of these molds that seem to never be useful to me (I would rather buy silicone ones). Cut the bottom off each and cut from one edge. And stick it on a paper cone.

By the way, you can use scraps to make a flat Christmas tree for a postcard, as in the photo in the master class.

Fabric Christmas trees

Floral

This beauty will require a lot of circle flowers. For them, cut out several circles of fabric and burn the edges. It is better to take organza, veil or something similar. Then collect each flower on a string and decorate the center.

Spruce is out again paper cone at the base

From felt

To create these tree pendants, use soft (for the base) and thick (for other elements) felt and beads. Patterns can be made directly from the photo. All that remains is to cut out the parts from felt, which then need to be sewn with a running stitch and stuffed. Well, decorate, of course

You can give such a Christmas tree to a guy - it will be very touching

From satin ribbon

Prepare beads, satin or grosgrain ribbon(or maybe even lace?), thread and needle. All you need to do is string beads and ribbon loops onto the thread alternately. The main thing is not to forget to secure it at the beginning and end of the product.

From balls

The essence of creating this wonderful Christmas tree is to create a huge number of fabric balls. For each of them, cut out circles and tie with thread, laying a running stitch. Put a little padding polyester inside and pull it off. Each such ball must be glued to the base.

The base can be a foam cone, a paper cone, or sewn from fabric. You can also decorate the spruce in the form of a topiary; for this you will also need a pot of polymer clay and sprinkles to create the effect of an earthen mound.

This is such a beauty nautical style I got:

Other materials or need for invention is cunning

Sorry, dear readers, I in no way want to offend anyone. It's just an expression the best way describes the impossibly diverse number of materials with which people manage to create Christmas trees :))

From beads

Quite not simple, but interesting Christmas tree. To create it, prepare chopped beads, a couple of beads and thin wire for working with beads. First, string the top, as in photo 1. Then make four upper paws- this will be the top.

Now prepare the branches, in each of which make several loops - smaller for the upper branches, larger for the lower ones. Collect them all into one trunk, wrapping it across with thin wire.

From plastic bottles

I respect this master class for careful attitude to nature and waste recycling. Take plastic bottle, cut off its smooth central part, which is cut into fringe. The lid will go on the top, the bottom can be used as a supply. Glue all the cut elements to the central rod.

From spools of thread

My friends, if you have a number of wooden thread spools, then know that you are the owner of a treasure with which you can make an amazing tree. To do this, clear all the spools of thread and glue the very bottom row onto the round dense base. Then glue row by row onto the existing ones below. Simple and stylish

From candy

The base will again be a paper cone. Attach a row of regular tinsel to it, then a row of sweets, then again tinsel, etc. On the top you can glue the most delicious candy(as a star). One minus - there will be nothing left of the tree quickly

From the bark

Strict Nordic Christmas trees. Which can be made if you have a paper cone and a little (okay, a little more than a little) bark on hand. The pieces need to be glued in rows so that the tree looks like a spruce.

I just ask that you don’t spoil living trees for this. Better look for something that has already been knocked down by a thunderstorm. By the way, the method with small pieces can also be used with CDs.

From sticks

Let's continue the theme of nature. This time we are decorating holiday boxes. Use chopsticks to lay out a semblance of a tree, which, in turn, decorate with threads, buttons and other decorative details.

From clothespins

I definitely need to make one like this for the New Year))) I have a dozen or two clothespins with hearts, it will be cool) In general, all you need is to build a rod with a stand. For example, a lid with a spoke. And put “branches” on the knitting needle. You can insert lollipops into the edges.

Bohemian

And we will make this spruce using feathers. The principle is the simplest - glue the feathers in rows from the bottom. By the way, feathers can be purchased in woven ones. But I don’t know what they used to paint it green. Maybe someone can tell me?

From wire

Build the frame like this: wrap three circles of wire around something round (cans, buckets, etc.), so that each next circle is smaller (or larger) than the previous one. Then take three pieces and use thin wire to tie them together at the top and in the same place on each circle.

All this can be turned around a beautiful garland. If you get creative, you can even hang a few Christmas tree decorations.

Made from mesh (and sisal)

Such a Christmas tree can be built in a few minutes. To do this, take a mesh or a sheet of sisal (read what it is). Place on a paper cone and wrap in several layers. Secure the top with a cord, wrapping it in a spiral around the spruce. Decorate with Christmas tree decorations.

And now is the time for the most minimalist Christmas trees, which will decorate the house and won’t take up much space.

From... Christmas balls

Here's a pun - a Christmas tree made of Christmas balls. Nevertheless, it looks great. For some reason I immediately imagined such a structure at some cool corporate event of a large company - it looks very status-worthy.

Making one is not at all difficult: take several dozen green (or whatever you want) balls and tie a thin thread or fishing line to each one. The most difficult thing is to measure the length correctly. Do this: Determine for yourself required quantity balls for each row and, based on this, estimate the length of the thread. The higher the ball, the shorter the thread.

Symbol

This is exactly what the next two coniferous trees can be called. The first is located on the wall and is made up of pieces of tinsel imitating fir branches. You can attach it with double-sided tape so that the ends do not stick out.

The second one was simply skillfully assembled with the help of many paintings, badges, souvenirs, etc., which were collected in the likeness of a spruce tree. Notice how some elements seem to imitate toys that are located on the tree. Interesting idea By the way, for an original gift on February 14, winter will still be in force, so a Christmas tree will be quite appropriate.

Well, dear readers, it’s time for me to say goodbye to you. The spruce hit parade is over, share your impressions: what inspired you, what you will take note of, etc. Be sure to tell your friends on social media. networks using the buttons below. Bye!

Sincerely, Anastasia Skoracheva

DIY shabby chic style Christmas tree

Let's make this amazingly beautiful and original craft V fashionable style shabby chic.

Necessary materials.

For the base we take a large one Paper cup or any plastic dishes. Separately, dilute alabaster or gypsum with water to the thickness of liquid sour cream and pour it into the future pot. We secure the trunk of our tree, plant the branch in the center and fix it in this position until it hardens.

We make a cone out of cardboard using a stapler.

We make the top of the spruce from wire and foam rubber.

We connect the top to the trunk and attach the cone.

We wrap the base of the tree with white fur.

We cut off the excess from below.

Then we bend the ends of the burlap inward and attach it with hot glue.

Let's get to the fun part - decorating our Christmas tree in shabby chic style.

To create the finished composition we will need a stand.

We make a bench from a bamboo napkin.

From white fur- snowman.

We attach a bell to the top of the spruce.

We decorate the New Year tree with beads, pearls, flowers, lace, etc.

Apply transparent glue to the very top of the tree.

And sprinkle artificial snow.

We do the same with the bench.

Our composition “Winter's Tale” is ready!

Decorative Christmas tree made from napkins

We will make it from cardboard and single-layer napkins. You will also need beads for decoration.

First of all, let's build a frame for our Christmas tree. We roll a cone out of cardboard, fasten it (I stitched it with thread) and cut off the bottom of the cone exactly so that it can stand.

The base is ready, put it aside for now. Now let's move on to napkins. We will make roses from them. Single-layer plain paper napkins are suitable for us.

Take a napkin and cut it along the folds. Then we fold it in three and cut along the folds again.

We fold the resulting strips in three and cut them again. We got a square equal to 1/9 of a napkin.

We fasten this square in the center with a stapler.

Then cut a circle out of it. Mega-precision and accuracy are not required here at all; the finished rose can be slightly adjusted with scissors.

This way a rose is formed. If the finished rose seems uneven to you, then you can trim it with scissors.

The number of such flowers depends on the size of your cardboard cone. My Christmas tree was 21cm high and I needed 59 roses for it.

When all the flowers are ready, we return to the cone. Starting from the top of the head, glue the flowers onto the cone so that the base is not visible. I glued it with hot glue (it’s more convenient for me), but ordinary PVA will do.

I made a Christmas tree out of napkins of two colors. If you also decide to create your own craft from multi-colored roses, then you can safely experiment with alternating them on a cone. If the result does not suit you, you can always tear off the flower and re-glue it to another place. In this case, only the lower layer of the flower will be damaged. We simply tear it off (the bottom layer). The rosette will not lose its appearance.

So, we glued the flowers to the cone. The Christmas tree itself is ready and you can stop at this stage.

I also decorated it with beads - I glued it with the same hot glue, PVA won’t help here.

DIY decorative Christmas tree made from napkins

As you can see, even a beginner can make such beauty, so you can safely involve children in the process.

Crafts made from cones, balls, ribbons and beads

How to make such a craft - watch the video tutorial at the end of the article.

Christmas tree made of plasticine with candies

What do we all associate with wonderful holiday New Year? With the smell of pine needles, bright lights, garlands, sweets. And children still create unusual crafts with your own hands, thereby bringing closer the pleasant moment of the onset of a fabulous night. They love creativity lessons on this topic most of all. It is in crafts that you can realize any fantasies.

We suggest making an elegant Christmas tree that can be easily decorated with candies. Make a craft from plasticine - the cheapest and most popular material. You will definitely do beautiful souvenir, if you follow our tips, they are not difficult.

To sculpt a Christmas tree with your own hands, prepare:

  • green plasticine for the crown;
  • stump in the form of a cap or an empty spool of thread;
  • toothpick, red and white plasticine for candy.

Select a green block of plasticine from the set. The body of the Christmas tree itself will be made from it, and in the future we will make small candies as toys. Certainly, small souvenir It doesn’t have to be green; any other color you choose will do. If you manage to find a set on sale that contains a gold bar, then this option will look rich.

Knead the entire prepared block thoroughly in your hands and prepare for further work. It is necessary to form a cone-shaped crown, and not quite the usual flat one, but a curved one, similar to the cap of a fairy-tale gnome. Because the we're talking about O magical holiday, then it is not forbidden to fantasize and create something incredible.

Pull all the soft plasticine into a long cone. Make the upper part as sharp as possible, press the lower part around the circumference with your fingers, showing the skirt. Then take and bend the entire structure to the side. Sometimes the Christmas trees do not stretch up perfectly straight, but lean to the side like this.

To model Christmas tree decorations - small candies - use white and red plasticine. Form red round tablets (the inner part of the candy), as well as white triangles (the twisted part of the candy wrappers).

Glue delicious candies together. Stick on each red round white dot and press in the center with a toothpick. Glue the triangular pieces on the sides.

Make enough decorative details to fill the entire surface of the Christmas tree, evenly distributing the candies around the circumference at some distance.

Glue all the resulting blanks to the crown. Beautiful New Year's craft it's almost ready. Press down a small lid - a stump - from below (or mold it from plasticine).

And the top is still missing. She just begs to be added to the resulting fairytale Christmas tree. Come up with some option, for example the same spruce branches in combination with red berries. All this looks festive and bright.

This is such a fantastic Christmas tree. This elegant option crafts for the New Year, which will be a great gift for your favorite holiday.

The New Year is just around the corner - you need to hurry up to get everything done.

DIY felt Christmas tree

Let's do Christmas trees made of felt - this is excellent Christmas decoration and perfect for school or kindergarten.

Prepare for them:

  • Set of colored felt;
  • cotton wool;
  • glue "Moment" transparent;
  • any beads;
  • threads for knitting and sewing;
  • a needle;
  • scissors;
  • felt-tip pen.

Select matching colors felt. These can be different shades of green. Or you can show your imagination and make an unusual red or blue spruce. Fold a couple of sheets of felt together and draw the shape of a fir tree on the top one.

Cut a piece of felt with a pattern along its entire length and fold it in half as shown in the photo. We do this only if the felt is not very thick, otherwise it will be difficult to cut 4 layers at once.

Cut 4 blanks into shape.

To give them a bulge, put a little cotton wool, as shown in the photo.

Lubricate the edges of the workpiece with glue.

Cut a piece of knitting thread and attach it to the top of the workpiece, directly on the glue. It can be hung from it. Attach the second piece and press along the edge so that both parts stick together.

On a light Christmas tree, make stitches with threads of a darker green color. This will add originality to the craft.

Decorate the second with a border of pearl beads. To do this, make a layer of glue along the edge and place beads on it.

Now let your little one decorate them however he or she wishes. After drying, the craft is ready for use.

Such simple craft will be a great decoration for your Christmas tree. It can be given to grandparents. Older children will be able to do it completely on their own. Using this principle, you can make any felt decorations. Whatever your imagination suggests.

Christmas tree toy made from pasta

Good afternoon Dear friends. We continue to prepare for the New Year and prepare crafts for this holiday that can easily be turned into gifts. In the last article we looked at it in general, and today we will create Christmas trees in a narrow manner. Link previous article.

Today's crafts will be made exclusively from paper. And there are so many instructions that with a normal approach, even a child can handle creating a Christmas tree. And if you don’t think it’s enough, you can try to make or create it yourself.

Well, for now we will begin to create beautiful forest beauties that will decorate your home throughout the holidays. And if you make a few pieces, you can assemble a whole fairy-tale forest on the window.

Take a regular sheet of paper. Of course, ideally it is better to take green, but white will do. We bend the sheet in two along the long side and draw the diagram shown in the photo below.

After applying the design, cut along the lines and bend as shown below. We make three blanks, and then glue them together. It turns out very beautiful and stylish. I am sure you will not see such Christmas trees anywhere else.

The following set of templates for making will allow you to create a Christmas tree in 3D format. You need to save and print the templates. We draw the diagram on a sheet of paper folded in two along the long side. And then we cut it out.

We cut along the main contour, and where the lines go inside we only make cuts. We bend the cuts at the end. Here, too, it is necessary to make two identical blanks in order to glue them together at the end and get volume.

If you wish, you can cut out more than just a Christmas tree. And a Christmas tree together with a fawn or a small Christmas tree standing next to it.

If desired, any craft can be painted to make it stand out from the rest of the Christmas trees. You can also use paints that glow in the dark.

And here is proof that children really love to do their own handicrafts.

Our beauties are ready. It turned out simply gorgeous. How do you like this idea?

For the next Christmas tree, it’s better to immediately take colored paper and immediately make a green Christmas tree. The tree is created from loops and curls.

On that score, if there was something you didn’t understand from the photo, I’ll leave a video on how to create such a masterpiece.

Christmas tree using origami technique (simple diagram for children with description)

Many people have been able to fold various figures from a sheet of paper since childhood. Well, remember airplanes or boats did all this simple technique origami. And I simply cannot help but talk about the fact that you can make a Christmas tree using the origami technique.

In order to fold the Christmas tree, you need to find an old book without a thick cover or a notebook with writing on it. Found it? Now let's continue, we wrap all the pages from the left corner to the middle. And so on every one. Therefore, a book that is too thick will not work.

Then we bend all the pages into a bag again.

The lower ponytail will need to be trimmed using scissors. Try to do everything slowly and carefully.

The product is completely ready. All that remains is to straighten out all the pages and sprinkle them with glitter.

How about this idea? The Christmas tree is a little more complicated to make, but it turns out more beautiful. First, train on a white sheet, and then when you understand the whole process, you can do it on a green one.

The following beauty can be offered to the children to make at a labor lesson in primary school. All instructions are provided below.

How to make a three-dimensional Christmas tree from corrugated paper for the New Year 2019

As promised above, today there will be various options making forest green beauties. And for the next craft you will need special corrugated paper or crepe paper. You will get a very beautiful Christmas tree.

You will need to find:

  • cardboard or thick paper
  • corrugated green staple paper
  • scissors
  • red paper
  • various bows
  • beads

Production stages:

We make a beautiful tall cone out of cardboard and cover it with green paper.

Make the strips about 10 cm long. We wrap each strip on a thin wooden stick or on a small brush to make a bud like this.

Fluff each bud and glue it to a paper cone. For a cone about 10-15 cm high, you will need to make over a hundred of these curls. To decorate the Christmas tree, you can use both ready-made and homemade bows. Christmas balls can be made from cotton balls sprinkled with glitter.

If the first option is too difficult for you, I suggest another option for making a Christmas tree from corrugated paper. It is less labor intensive.

We make the base of the Christmas tree from cardboard. You will need green paper, 18 cm wide and 2 meters long. We fold it in two along the entire length. Apply glue to the edge, leaving a free strip of 2 cm.

Glue and pull together to make a small skirt.

Next, we decorate our cone in a spiral with this blank. Don't forget to glue the strip to the cone. Finally, we decorate with improvised toys.

Or here’s another option for making a New Year’s beauty. We cut multi-colored strips 2-3 cm wide and wrap each strip around a cardboard cone to the very top.

Or you can do it like this.

New Year's beauty made of colored paper and cardboard

To make such a Christmas tree you need to make some blanks, three semicircles of different diameters. On each semicircle we make small cuts to create a fringe.

Then use scissors to twist the fringe. And we glue cones from the blanks. Well, then, on the large cone we put less on the middle cone and the smallest one. At the end we will make a beautiful star.

Here is a similar option, but in the video there is a small life hack on how to quickly and beautifully cut these circles.

But such Christmas trees will look very organic on the holiday table. All are made from the same paper circles various shapes. By the way, if the question of preparing salads is still open to you, here are some tips.

Or this option for making Christmas trees from simple wrapping paper.

Well, if you want to make something big, beautiful and warm, you can make a big beautiful New Year's beauty. What to do big Christmas tree you need to glue several sheets of cardboard together. Roll them into a cone.

Wrap the resulting cone in beautiful wrapping paper.

After removing everything unnecessary, decorate the Christmas tree with improvised toys and a star.

You can also make a Christmas tree from cardboard, but we won’t make cones.

You will need to print this stencil.

Next, cut out the resulting stencil, apply it to sheets of cardboard, trace it and cut it out. Fold in the middle. We make 8 identical blanks.

We'll go through the edges with a hole punch. If you have a figured hole punch, you can use it. We glue the middles together using double-sided tape.

Then we sew with white thread along the holes made. And we also cut out the star.

Finally, it is advisable to decorate with artificial snow and white sparkles.

Try making a colorful Christmas tree like this from paper circles and a wooden stick.

Or try making the same Christmas tree from candy wrappers and magazine clippings. Finally, coat the tree with glue and sprinkle with flour or sugar.

You can glue a Christmas tree from paper handprints. Preschoolers will really like this work.

And here is another master class on creating a Christmas tree from a glossy magazine.

And with such a Christmas tree you can decorate your workplace. You will need a green piece of A4 paper. We cut out a triangle and make a hole in the middle with a standard hole punch. We unfold the accordion and put it on the improvised trunk. Which can be made from the same sheet of paper rolled into a tight tube.

You can find these tips on the Internet. By the way individual elements You can use the space around you as decoration.

A Christmas tree made from loops is something new; I really wanted to make something like this myself.

Another option for making crafts from loops.

Here's another idea on how to make a Christmas tree from improvised materials.

Let's return a little to decorating the office table. The next tree will be made from reminder leaves.

And even a preschooler can cope with this task.

  • all fold lines are usually carefully smoothed with a fingernail - the accuracy of the folds allows you to assemble full-fledged high-quality products;
  • the paper should not be of poor quality and tear at the slightest attempt to bend or cut it.

To assemble a voluminous fluffy Christmas tree you need scissors, colored paper and a little glue.

IllustrationDescription of action
We use green paper. We turn the sheet into a square by bending one corner so that the edges coincide with each other. We cut off the remaining strip and remove it.
We need fold lines, so we fold the sheet and iron the resulting folds, first along one diagonal of the square, then along the other. Then fold the paper in half.
Unfold the product partially, leaving one corner folded.
We bend the free corner to the folded part, as in the photo.
Now the resulting trapezoid needs to be turned into a square by pulling it by the middle of the base and bending it to the right corner.
It turns out to be such a figure in a spread.
We bend each of the corners sequentially towards the center. Turn the product over and do the same on the other side. Let's unfold one corner and bend it inward.
We do this with every corner.
Cut off the bottom part of the resulting tie.
It is necessary to make slits on the sides of the product.
Bend down each side of the tree top part from the cut to the base.
Straightening the branches of this fluffy beauty!
