Congratulating, intimidating or inviting friends to a party with the help of an original hand-made product will be much more pleasant for them. This is not at all difficult to do, you just need a little patience and accuracy.

Postcard “View from the Darkness”

You will need:
- a rectangle of purple double-sided cardboard;
- 1 sheet each of black and lilac paper;
- thin orange ribbon;
- a set of moving eyes of different sizes;
- white pencil or watercolor, glue, scissors.

We bend the purple rectangle in half to make a “hut”. You can make this card with a top fold or a side fold, whichever you prefer. We glue black paper onto the front part. If you're on a budget, it could be a small rectangle a little larger than a business card, horizontally positioned in the center. We glued lilac paper on top, with a window about the size of a business card pre-cut in it, so that the inside was filled with black. Using a white pencil, we make a congratulatory or frightening inscription on a black background. We glue moving eyes randomly in size onto lilac paper as tightly as possible to each other. We tie the bottom of the card approximately halfway to the black rectangle horizontally with a ribbon with a simple bow.

Postcard “It's all in the hat”

For a postcard in the shape of a witch's hat you need:
- 2 sheets of black and 1 sheet of orange cardboard;
- a small piece of bright wrapping paper or polka dot wallpaper;
- half a meter of red ribbon and black lace;
- glue, scissors, pins or other means of fastening.

Using a stencil, we cut out 2 identical hats from black cardboard. From yellow cardboard we cut out a base for an inscription of any shape and paste it onto the hat that will be below. From polka dot paper, cut out a shape exactly in the shape of the top of the cap (without the crown) and paste it onto the front hat. Between the cap and the crown of the same part, we make 2 narrow holes at the edges, thread lace and a ribbon into them, which we tie in a bow in front, and with reverse side fasten with glue or a stapler. We write the invitation on orange cardboard. We fasten two hats with a pin or other in a convenient way at the tips of the caps. All that remains is to hand it over.

Halloween invitations in the form of ancient scrolls

This is the simplest thing you can do with your own hands.

Materials:
- sheets of white paper;
- tea or coffee;
- orange and/or black colored paper;
- scissors, glue, pencil, black gel pen.

Invitations can be made from a whole sheet or from half of it. Dip them completely in tea or coffee and dry them to get the effect of antiquity. Upper and bottom part We wind one by one on the pencil inward towards the center of the workpiece so that the edges are curled. To enhance the effect, you can lightly burn the side edges, but do this in the absence of children. Gel pen write the text in the center. Below, next to the signature, you can paste a pumpkin or bat figurine pre-cut out of colored paper. Voila! Everything ingenious is simple.

Salt dough preparations:

  1. Thoroughly mix 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt and ¾ cup of water. Knead the dough well, otherwise it will crumble.
  2. Sculpting with children funny figures(skulls, pumpkins, witches, ghosts, inscriptions, beads and whatever comes to mind).
  3. Place them in the oven at 150 degrees. Attention! It is best to heat them gradually, along with the oven, and cool them in the same way, that is, take them out only when the oven has cooled down. Baking time depends directly on the size of the figures.

When everything is ready, color the blanks together with the kids. acrylic paints. Don't be upset if you don't have them on hand. Ordinary gouache will do. For durability, coat the figures with varnish. Wonderful souvenirs are ready!

How to make decorations to decorate a room for Halloween with your own hands

We tried to reveal for you the most non-trivial and non-standard ideas in this section, thanks to which the children's party will come to life and be truly atmospheric.

Ingredients:
- white socks (preferably translucent cotton ones);
- balloons;
- small plastic spiders.

Fill the balls with water (1 glass), tie them well, put a sock on top so that it fits tightly and maintains the shape of the ball. We chaotically glue spiders on the outside. We hang the finished cocoons from the ceiling or on the window.

The child can completely or almost completely make this part of the decor himself, depending on his age, because the manufacturing scheme is very simple. All you need is a roll of thick white paper (the same length as the garland should be), scissors and a black felt-tip pen. Fold the paper like an accordion so that the width of the layer matches the maximum width of the figures that will make up the product. Draw the outlines of a creepy but very cute ghost. When cutting, do not forget that you cannot completely cut off the sides of the paper, otherwise you will not end up with a garland, but many separate stencils. If you did everything correctly, then when you open the accordion, you will receive fun company ghosts holding hands. Give your child a felt-tip pen to add eyes and mouths to the ghosts. This is the simplest of possible options. Depending on your skills and imagination, you can make garlands from skeletons, crosses, black cats, pumpkins and many other characters.

Create the right mood starting from front door- exactly what is needed. There may be several wreaths. They can be located on doors and windows inside the house.

What you will need:
- a round base made from improvised means or made independently from wire, foam rubber and electrical tape;
- wide ribbons made of satin, tulle or other beautiful material, with which you will wrap your base ( current colors– black, orange, purple, green, red);
- materials for decorating the wreath;
- glue, stapler.

The number of decoration options is limited only by your imagination.

Here are some good ideas:

  • black feathers and gauze, complemented by an orange bow;
  • black buttons of different sizes glued to a base wrapped in orange tape;
  • a wreath of branches in the form of a nest with a menacing black raven;
  • felt or cardboard the bats;
  • decoration from autumn leaves, miniature pumpkins and moss.

Of all the accessories, the Halloween pumpkin is the most important and should be decorated with your own hands.

The famous Jack-O-Lantern pumpkin must be prepared and finished according to all the rules, otherwise it will not be able to please the eye for a long time. Which side to cut a hole in it depends only on your preferences. With equal success, you can cover a candle or lantern with a pumpkin on top, leaving its tail, or put the lighting inside, cutting a classic star-shaped notch on the top.

So, let’s clean and decorate the Halloween pumpkin:

  1. Remove all pulp. Scrape the sides thoroughly with a spoon so that not a piece remains. It is important.
  2. Dampen a cloth with alcohol or vodka and thoroughly wipe the inside of the pumpkin.
  3. Fill the workpiece with crumpled paper and store in a ventilated, dark place.
  4. Change the paper when it gets wet. If you dry it properly, it will last a long time and will not rot.
  5. You can carve a classic sinister face or any other designs on the pumpkin. To do this you will need an outline marker and a knife. You can also use a drill, baking molds in tandem with a hammer, and anything else that is suitable for figure cutting.

Experiment with fun ways to decorate your pumpkin for children's party. Kids will definitely love the smiling, not grinning face, holes in the form of flowers or stars, and colored decorations glued to the pumpkin (beads, buttons, a hat and other Halloween paraphernalia, decorated with your own hands). By the way, you can do this not only with pumpkin, but also with other vegetables and even apples. What will provide children with useful and exciting activity.

Everyone knows that the symbol of Halloween is a glowing pumpkin. But do you know, my dear monsters, where this attribute came from?

The Legend of the Glowing Pumpkin

A long time ago, a swindler and drunkard, Jack, invited the devil himself to his Halloween celebration. After the gathering, the man bet with the guest that he would not climb the tree. The devil quickly climbed to the top, but cunning Jack drew a cross on the tree and the devil could not come down. The man then offered to remove the cross in exchange for never tempting him again.

After his death, Jack was not allowed into heaven because he was a sinner, but the devil did not allow him to go to hell, giving him only a hot corner. Jack hid the coal in an onion and has since appeared with it on All Hallows' Eve. Later in the USA, the onion was replaced with a pumpkin, and since then the glowing orange vegetable with an ominous smile has been a symbol of the Halloween holiday.

Competition "Symbol of the Holiday"

The presenters invite the children to make the main attribute of the holiday themselves. Each participant is given a small pumpkin and a black marker (if children under 10 years old) or a knife (if older children).

Witch:

Game "Sweet Tooth"

This entertainment is traditionally present in the Halloween scenario. For the competition you will need donuts (can be replaced with soft bagels) and two ropes or threads. Two donuts are hung on threads at the height of the participants. Then a couple is selected who want to take part in the competition.

The players' task is to eat the treat without using their hands. The one who can do it faster wins and receives a prize from the presenters.

Drum:

My old friend Count Dracula handed over refreshments for our holiday.

Competition “Feel like Dracula”

The hosts offer the bravest guests of the holiday a taste of the “blood of the old magician” (tomato or cherry juice). Everyone receives a glass with a drink and a straw. At the leader’s signal, the participants begin to drink. The first one to empty the glass wins.

Witch:

My friends, monsters, witches and ghosts. Yesterday I received a letter from my nephew, Kasper. Him big problems with horror homework. Little Casper needs to learn how to appear in public so that everyone's knees shake. And we can’t do it without your help.

Game “What a horror!”

Each contestant takes turns making a "scary and terrifying" appearance in public. You can use a white cloth or sheet for this. The winner is chosen by voting or applause.

Drum:

Oh, Witch, how scary our guests are! But this is not enough, because evil spirits often have to get out of the most unexpected situations.

Fun "Magic Pumpkin"

You need to make a container out of a large one in advance, clearing out all the contents and washing it thoroughly. You should also prepare tasks for the participants - write on pieces of paper (the edges can be burned for effect) what they should do, for example:

At midnight from October 31 to November 1, the entire Catholic world celebrates the most terrible holiday in the year - Halloween. In recent years, this holiday has been increasingly celebrated in Russia. And despite the fact that Halloween is not of original Russian origin, it is a good reason to have fun with your kids and give them another holiday.

The roots of this colorful and eerie action go back centuries. Even 2000 years ago, the Celts, who inhabited Great Britain and northern France, divided the year into two parts: winter and summer. On October 31st they celebrated the end of the harvest and New Year's Eve. The Celts believed that last night October their main god, the Sun, is kidnapped by the prince of darkness Samheim. And therefore the whole world falls into the grip of darkness and cold. On this night, the gates of the underworld open, and the souls of the dead come to earth to celebrate their carnival. According to legend, the only way to defend yourself from uninvited aliens is with live fire. Druids lit fires, peasants walked around their houses with torches. Treats were placed outside for the spirits to prevent them from breaking into the house. And the residents themselves gathered around the fires of the Druids. When the rituals and dances around the fire ended, everyone took a tongue of sacred flame into their home to protect their home from evil spirits.

By 43 AD e. The Romans occupied most of the Celtic territories. During the 400 years that they spent on these lands, not only the population, but also traditions mixed. Christianity turned out to be helpless in the face ancient holiday. Then the cunning priests made a kind of concession. In the 7th century, Pope Boniface IV established November 1 as All Saints Day. It turned out that October 31st was the eve of the holiday. Hence the name, because Hallow in Old English means “holy”, and e"en means “evening”. Subsequently, the name of the holiday appeared - Halloween.

In what is now the United States, Halloween arrived with the first Irish immigrants. With their light hand, witches and devils swirled in the whirlwind of the carnival in the New World, playing pranks on each other and lighting up the night with laughing pumpkins with a candle inside.

Why pumpkin?

The pumpkin is at the same time mandatory attribute Halloween and at the same time - a talisman that protects against evil sorcerers and other evil spirits on the night of magic and magic. There are several legends about why the pumpkin became the symbol of Halloween. According to one of them, one girl returned home in the evening and got lost in the forest, just at terrible night rampant ghosts. She knew that she needed to light a candle, but the wind would blow out the weak flame. The girl had a pumpkin in her basket. The resourceful child pulled out the pulp from it, cut out the pumpkin's eyes, nose and mouth, which curled into a grin. He lit candles inside the pumpkin. The spectacle turned out to be impressive, the ghosts shied away! According to another Irish legend, a man named Jack managed to deceive the Devil twice and received from him a promise not to encroach on his own soul. However, for his sinful worldly life, the Irishman was not allowed into Paradise. In anticipation of Judgment Day, Jack had to wander the Earth, lighting his path with a piece of coal, protected from the rain by an ordinary pumpkin. The Jack-O-Lantern still roams the earth in anticipation of the Last Judgment and is a symbol of the damned soul. In Ireland it was customary to cut from turnips, beets or potatoes scary faces, depicting "Jack-O-Lantern". Later they began to use pumpkins for this. Thus, a pumpkin with a candle inside, symbolizing Halloween, was called “Jack-o-lanterns”.

How to Make a Jack-O-Lantern Pumpkin

Halloween pumpkin For this, choose only fresh pumpkin (so that it lasts longer). The skin should not be very hard. Then you need to wash it and carefully cut off the “lid” or “bottom” with a sharp knife. It is recommended to cut the “lid” at an angle, because otherwise you will not be able to use it for its intended purpose - for closing, because it will fall into the orange interior of the future lantern. By cap we mean top part, crowned with a stalk. Do not overdo it with its width; there is no need to cut off half of the pumpkin. Then take a large spoon and scoop out the pulp from the pumpkin, being especially careful around the eyes and mouth. Draw outlines with a pencil: eyes, mouth and nose, and carefully cut them out with a sharp knife. Lubricate the cuts with Vaseline to keep the pumpkin longer. Then a candle is placed inside the pumpkin (it is better to use a washer candle, it will be the most stable). If you cut out the top of the pumpkin, then place the candle inside. If you cut off the bottom, place the candle on the surface where your Jack-O-Lantern will stand, and put a pumpkin on top, with this option it will be more stable. To make the candle burn longer, place it in the freezer for a couple of hours first. Your Jack-O-Lantern is ready! He will protect you from evil spirits and evil spirits on this fabulous and magical night.

Halloween costumes usually represent images of various fairy-tale and mysterious characters: Count Dracula, vampires, witches, ghosts, skeletons, devils, princesses. Nowadays, such costumes, masks and other Halloween attributes can be easily purchased in stores. But it’s much more interesting to do it all with your own hands using available materials. To do this, it’s enough to fantasize and, with your mother’s help, bring these fantasies to life by sewing costumes from unnecessary fabrics, scraps and accessories. You can make original masks of various characters from cardboard and papier-mâché.

Haunted Candy House

Ingredients:

One empty cardboard box from under milk (type Tetra Pack)

Glaze for gluing decorations (recipe below)

Large rectangular crackers

Multi-colored and different-sized candies: red, black, green and others.

Chocolate pieces, licorice sticks, colored sugar, etc. - For decoration.

For the glaze

1/2 pound fine granulated sugar

3 tbsp. tablespoons butter/margarine

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1 1/2 - 2 tbsp. spoons of milk

Food coloring for glazing orange color(if needed)

Mix all ingredients together. The mixture should be easy to spread, but not runny. You can add more sugar for viscosity or dilute with milk. If you have a pastry syringe, place the frosting in it (use the tip with the small hole). Instead of a syringe, you can take a simple plastic bag with a corner cut off.

So, let's start building the candy house.

Open the pack and wash the inside. Then reseal it with a stapler or tape. Place the packet on a sheet of wax paper, on top of a piece of stiff cardboard.

Glue crackers to the walls and roof of the “house” with icing so as to cover the cardboard. If necessary, break or cut them.

Leave the house for 10 minutes so that everything sticks well and hardens. Then start decorating the roof: spread it with icing and stick orange candies on top - “tiles”.

Decorate the “yard” and the “house” in the same way. Use chocolate bars along with candies different shapes, cookie crumbs, toffees, straws, jelly beans, whatever. You can make “windows” from small square candies, and doors and shutters from chocolates. Imagine!

To give the house an ominous look, cut out ghost figures from paper and place them in the “yard” (you can use toy figures if you have them). Make a dried tree from a licorice stick (to do this, you need to split it lengthwise). You can also make a “lawn” by sprinkling the “yard” with green sugar.

We wish you the most unforgettable and “creepy” evening!
